Hi,
I am looking to find out what the pay per click pricing averages are based on particular industries. For example, how much does a click cost for an advertiser say in the tech industry, or sports, or entertainment for example.
I am having trouble finding much relevant info about this and would appreciate if you can tell me or point me in the right direction.
Thanks!
Perhaps you can share how much you were paying per click and what industry your website is a part of? That would be helpful. Thanks.

Is there any way of finding out what keywords a company is using for their pay-per-click campaigns?

I’m trying to discover what keywords an individual company is using for their pay-per-click campaigns on either Google, Yahoo or MIVA. Any tools out there that can do this??

How much do you think campaigning and advertising affects how you vote?
Filed Under advertising | 10 Comments
1. Presidential candidates nearly always do worse in states where they don’t campaign than states where they do.
2. I’ve read that Obama’s gains have been at least partially due to the effectiveness of his campaigning and advertising as compared to Clinton’s.
3. There are so many newspaper articles about how important raising money is for a political campaign to be successful.
So how much do you think it affects your vote? And if you say it doesn’t, why do you think campaigning and advertising have so much influence on elections?

How can I start an advertising agency?
Filed Under advertising | 2 Comments
I’m wondering if I can start an advertising and/or marketing agency. For the last couple of years I’ve developed good relations with several people in radio/newspapers/online/TV, etc. So I’m at this stage in which I would like to get something started along the lines of advertising and marketing. I am more into P.R. work than advertising, but I’m being very broad and general with the question, so advertising pretty much covers the entire scope of what I would like to do.
I’m pretty creative, net-savvy, and the only thing I’m not aware of is how to get started. Or if there is any specific set of “expectations” from an agency.
I’ve been thinking about getting some referrals by helping some of the lonely booth people in the middle of malls and the like. And a few unsuccessful-yet-potential-cash-cow restaurants.
Where do I go from here?

Hi, How do you lower conversions costs on pay per click campaigns?
Filed Under advertising | 4 Comments
I’ve reduced my max bids without affecting my ad position or CTR too much and I have removed keywords that produce little or no conversions. I am quite happy with my CTR and conversion rate, but my conversion costs are still a lot higher than I would like… any ideas please??? Thank You!

I just started a business which is not doing well. I have not done a lot to advertise as it is expensive. How much does a new business need to rely on advertising?
