ajcolours asked:

Do they link back to their own site, increment a counter in the db? (This seems inefficient)

Do they use some kind of redirection servers? and process web server logs afterwards?

I was hoping to get some of the technical details of how this works…

Thanks!

The ad to be displayed by your browser try search on google anything then do copy link that goes to be pretty simple the click here is an example.
      An example httpwwwgooglecomurlsalaibjllrhz34ri3_hqywyo797j8n6dffdnnzuqbqymvvqgqz1mqargbkag4aeinovcj69r_____8bmagahqgqaqqyr01myaeblqiqargknum1qhttpwwwcaliforniapsychicscomccaspx3flid3d101758sig__ym8kbwjrjsydoo2h4vx1bjomijw.
The ad providers provide link location and paste the ad selected they wish then increment the appropriate ad to be.
